Five pet-friendly coffee shops your dog will love

Category News

If living in the big city of Johannesburg has taught us anything it's that coffee is the lifeblood that fuels practically everyone. There's definitely nothing quite like the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans to motivate us to get through anxiety-inducing workdays. From quant baristas and coffee shops to larger chains like Starbucks and Mugg and Bean, Joburgers are spoiled for choice.

But what if you're a pet lover too? We see no reason why your love for coffee and spending time with your best furry friend can't be enjoyed at the same time. Today, we take a look at some of the best pet-friendly coffee shops in the city. Just be sure to keep your very, very good boy on a leash at all times!

Goddess Café - Linden

While only opening its Joburg branch as recently as September this year, Goddess Café in Linden is a vibrant and energetic café where the colour pink takes centre stage. From flower arrangements to the décor to even the icing on the cake, nothing escapes their particularly decadent theme.

Coffee fundies are definitely fans of their novelty spin on the brew. If you ever decide to visit their particularly expressive café then we recommend their Spanish latte, made using condensed milk and espresso shots with coloured frothy milk. Luckily, this time, the colour is of the customers choice!

Of course, Goddess Café wouldn't make the list if it wasn't pet-friendly as well. While you may have to contend with an abundance of pink water bowls, this particular café has its own pet styled menu with four meal options based on chicken, rice, and veggies.
