About Randburg

Randburg is an area located north west of Johannesburg in Gauteng. Until the late 1990s, it was a separate municipality, but then its administration was transferred to the newly created City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, along with its neighbours of Sandton and Roodepoort.

Randburg consists of over 32 mostly residential, upmarket and well-populated suburbs. The residents are, in general, fairly affluent, and the properties are a variety of quite large houses, complexes of townhouses, apartments and clusters and luxury lifestyle estates. 

Schooling
 

With so many top quality educational facilities, both private and public, for all grade levels available in the Randburg area, parents will not have to look too far from home to find a suitable facility.  A few are: SPARK Randburg High School, Nova Pioneer North Riding - Primary, I.R. Griffith Primary School, Ferndale High School, King David High School Victory Park, and De La Salle Holy Cross College.

Travel Routes
 

The major access route to Randburg is via the N1 Western Bypass.  As Randburg is a large sprawling area, several busy commuter routes pass through it such as Jan Smuts Avenue, Malibongwe Drive, Beyers Naude and Witkoppen Road.
